Instant Quote handles standardized work automatically. Estimator reviewed custom quotes cover everything beyond the platform's standard limits.
Use Instant Quote when
- The file, material, thickness, part size, tolerance, and operations are supported by the platform.
- You can select every required process directly in the quote.
- No special engineering review or exception is needed.
Request a custom quote when
- A material, thickness, size, tolerance, process, hardware insertion requirement, or finish is not available as a selectable Instant Quote option.
- The part requires unusual forming, a critical bend radius, tighter tolerances, machining, special inspection, or complex outside processing.
- The PDF and CAD file conflict, or the scope cannot be fully represented by the platform.
- You need ACP to review manufacturability before ordering.
Important: notes and attachments provide supporting information, but they do not automatically add an operation to an automated quote. Only operations and finishes explicitly selected and listed in the quote are included. Hardware insertion and any finish not available as a selectable Instant Quote option require an estimator reviewed custom quote.
