ACP Manufacturing Guidelines

Use these guidelines to prepare files, select materials, and understand the standard manufacturing limits available through ACP's Instant Quote platform. They are written for engineers, purchasing teams, product developers, and first time users.

If your part falls outside a listed size, material, tolerance, or process limit, request a custom quote. An ACP estimator will review the complete requirements and confirm the appropriate manufacturing method.

What ACP runs in house

CapabilitySummary
Fiber Laser CuttingFast, precise cutting for aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel.
CO2 Laser CuttingClean laser cutting for acrylic and selected plastics on a Kern CO2 laser.
Waterjet CuttingCold cutting for metals, plastics, composites, rubber, and foam with no heat affected zone.
Press Brake FormingTRUMPF forming for standard single bend and multi bend sheet metal parts.
Added OperationsTapping, countersinking, counterboring, hardware installation, laser marking, deburring, and finishing.
QualityPublished cutting and forming tolerances with AQL 4.0, General Inspection Level II sampling.

How every guideline page works

  • At a glance: a plain English explanation of the process.
  • Standard Instant Quote limits: sizes, thicknesses, materials, and tolerances.
  • Design guidance: the rules that commonly cause quoting or production errors.
  • What to upload: accepted CAD and supporting document requirements.
  • What to expect: edge condition, taper, bend radius, and other process characteristics.

Need something outside the standard? An ACP estimator will review your complete requirements and confirm the right manufacturing method.
