Press Brake Bending
ACP forms sheet metal using TRUMPF TruBend press brakes, including the TruBend 7036 and TruBend 1150. The standard process is air forming with tooling selected for the material, thickness, geometry, and required bend.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Maximum standard bend length | 96" |
| Minimum standard part size | 1" × 1" |
| Standard thickness range | 0.020" to 0.500" |
| Common materials | Aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel |
| Single bend flange tolerance | ±0.030" |
| Bend angle tolerance | ±1° |
Design guidance
- Identify critical overall formed dimensions on the drawing.
- Keep holes, slots, and other features away from bend zones when possible.
- Material, thickness, grain direction, springback, tooling, and bend sequence affect the final result.
- Request a custom quote for unusually tight formed dimensions, nonstandard radii, acute angles, or geometry that may create tooling interference.
Need something outside the standard? An ACP estimator will review your complete requirements and confirm the right manufacturing method.
