Quality and Inspection
ACP performs lot based sampling inspection per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, General Inspection Level II, AQL 4.0, unless a customer specification or contract requires another inspection plan.
How AQL sampling works
- The lot size determines the code letter and sample size.
- The AQL 4.0 table determines the acceptance and rejection numbers.
- The lot is accepted when defects are at or below the acceptance number.
- The lot is rejected or contained when defects are at or above the rejection number.
- Critical characteristics or 100 percent inspection requirements must be specified and quoted separately.
Material thickness
Material thickness is nominal and follows the applicable mill tolerance. Dimensional tolerances stated for cutting and forming do not automatically apply to raw material thickness unless a special thickness requirement is reviewed and quoted.
